The most recognized Antique Toy Auction House in the World

Jeanne is an avid collector, dealer, and proprietor of Bertoia Auctions, which Jeanne began with late husband Bill Bertoia. Recognized in the antique toy and collectible world, Jeanne, has helped promote some of the finest specialized antique toy sales on record and can be seen at any number of important antique shows promoting Bertoia Auctions. As the recognized doorstop authority, she has compiled one of the most comprehensive book to be written on the subject. She served as the President of the Antique Toy Collectors Club of America from 2010-2012, and is a member of the Mechanical Bank Collectors Club, the Still Bank Collectors Club, and the Figural Cast Iron Collectors Club.

Auction cataloguer, and coordinator with late brother Bill Bertoia for many years, Rich's interest began very early collecting rare bottles, advertising, art glass, and eventually, toys. He has helped conduct sales of some of the most important toy collections in the world, and is a recognizable and present force promoting Bertoia Auctions at major events from coast to coast. He has written various articles on major toy collections from around the world and has authored books on Antique Motorcycle Toys and several on Antique Advertising through Schiffer Publishing.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Vermont, where he earned a B.A. in Business Administration, son of co-founders Jeanne Bertoia and the late William S. "Bill" Bertoia, Michael said he "grew up in a house full of antiques and learned at a young age to appreciate their beauty." Bringing with him the energy and technological know-how of today’s youth, Michael began in an associate's role by implementing new technologies as graphic design coordinator for catalogs and advertising. Years later, he began an apprenticeship under the watchful tutelage of principal auctioneer Tim Luke, which culminated in his becoming Bertoia’s in-residence auctioneer. He also enjoys traveling to shows in America and Europe as a promoter for Bertoia Auctions.

Graduating from the University of Delaware in 2002 with a B.S. in Leadership and Consumer Economics, Lauren comes to Bertoia’s as office administrator and customer service manager. She has a wealth of experience in dealing with a diverse corporate clientele, and she always maintains a positive outlook. Lauren has been working closely with Jeanne, learning about many areas of the business. In the future she expects to travel on behalf of the company and work alongside her brother Michael. “At two years old, my parents started me collecting small figural cast-iron doorstops, paperweights and bookends. My mother collected doorstops, so we called my miniatures ‘baby doorstops” Lauren said with a chuckle.
